Göteborg Film Festival is the largest film festival in the Nordics. For 10 days at the end of January the festival will show around 250 films from more than 80 countries in about 700 screenings. A hand-picked selection will also be premiered in our digital saloon, so that the anticipation and nervousness that characterizes a festival premiere can be experienced in living rooms all over Sweden. The digital edition of the festival can only be streamed in Sweden.

Today, the Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival is the world’s largest film festival dedicated to short films. In term of audience and professional presence, it is the second largest film festival in France after Cannes. The festival is at the heart of many activities and missions conducted all year long by the collective Sauve qui peut le court métrage. The association employs 18 permanents, all based in Auvergne, where a whole dynamic around cinema has been created. The 2020 edition recorded more than 172,566 entries and welcomed more than 3,600 professionals.

FILM FESTIVAL Berlin The Berlinale is a unique place of artistic exploration and entertainment. It is one of the largest public film festivals in the world, attracting tens of thousands of visitors from around the globe each year. For the film industry and the media, the eleven days in February are also one of the most important events in the annual calendar and an indispensable trading forum. The Berlin International Film Festival enjoys an eventful history. The festival was created for the Berlin public in 1951, at the beginning of the Cold War, as a “showcase of the free world”. Shaped by the turbulent post-war period and the unique situation of a divided city, the Berlinale has developed into a place of intercultural exchange and a platform for the critical cinematic exploration of social issues. To this day it is considered the most political of all the major film festivals. The Berlinale brings the big stars of international cinema to Berlin and discovers new talents. It accompanies filmmakers of all disciplines on their paths into the spotlight and supports careers, projects, dreams and visions. Thanks to its numerous industry initiatives, the Berlinale is a significant driver of innovation and an important economic factor internationally as well as for companies in Germany and Berlin.

Glasgow Film Festival (GFF) has announced plans to host a series of special events for the 20th edition of the much-loved festival, which returns from 28 February to 10 March 2024. GFF is one of the leading film festivals in the UK and is run by Glasgow Film, a charity which also runs Glasgow Film Theatre. Glasgow Film Festival is made possible by support from Screen Scotland, the BFI Audience Projects Fund, awarding National Lottery funding and Glasgow Life.

BUFF is an exceptional film festival, because it is for everyone. Some are watching their very first movie in a cinema at BUFF. Some are screening their first feature film for the toughest and most honest critics, namely children. Some are inspired to tell stories with moving images themselves. Since 1984, BUFF Filmfestival has been the most important screening venue for films for children and young people in the Nordic countries.

Malmö Arab Film Festival (MAFF) is the leading and largest film festival dedicated to Arab cinema outside the Arab world. The festival has been held since 2011 and has since then come to provide a platform for Arab cinema in Europe. The starting point for the festival was to create a platform and a meeting place for Arab cinema in Malmö, Sweden and Europe. The festival was founded by the festival’s general manager and creative director Mouhamad Keblawi. It started as a grassroots initiative and has since undergone a tremendous development, and is now the largest film festival in southern Sweden. The 14th edition of Malmö Arab Film Festival will take place between the 22nd April to 28th April, 2024.
