White Widow by Henry Mason
-By Lara Marie Jærndal.
GoCreator was invited to see the screening of “White Widow,” and absolutely loved it.
Filmed against the vibrant backdrops of Africa and London.
Natalie (Adelaide Clemens) takes us on a cinematic journey where she invites a complete stranger (Rory Fleck Byrne), to spend an unforgettable 24 hours in London with her during a layover from East Africa.
Soon, the story unfolds as the audience discovers what happened in Africa – her compelling love story and the heartbreak that brought her to a chance encounter with a young Irishman.
“White Widow” is a beautifully created film that keeps you on the edge of your seat, skilfully discussing love, career, and the complexities of grief. The movie thoughtfully portrays the aftermath of heartbreak and how the character handles it.
It as well explores the cynicism prevalent in the African narrative, using it as a protective shield against the harsh realities of life.
Highly recommend watching White Widow if you appreciate a movie that will make you look inward as well as at the world, if just for a short while, with new eyes.
